Function

As an IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role during the initial scoping phase of a major digital

transformation initiative within a healthcare environment. Your mission will be to deliver a

comprehensive functional analysis and cost estimation by bridging the gap between clinical business

needs and technical capabilities.

You will identify and analyze the differences between standard software functionalities and specific

local regulatory and operational requirements, enabling leadership teams to make informed strategic

and investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct focused workshops with medical professionals, operational users, and

administrative stakeholders to understand current workflows and critical business

requirements within a limited project timeframe.

• Analyze and document existing business processes and operational needs.

• Perform detailed gap analyses between standard software capabilities and specific local

healthcare regulations and processes.

• Translate identified gaps into clear and structured functional specifications for potential

custom developments.

• Define interface and integration requirements between core platforms and locally developed

extensions or applications.

• Describe and document data flows, interoperability needs, and system interaction processes.

• Produce detailed estimations regarding development effort, implementation complexity, and

associated delivery costs.

• Contribute actively to the preparation of business cases and strategic decision-making

documentation.

• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a multidisciplinary

healthcare environment.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst or Functional Analyst.

• Experience within healthcare, hospital, or medical environments is considered a strong asset.

• Strong analytical and business process modeling skills.

• Experience with Business Process Management methodologies.

• Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture principles.

• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) environments.

• Strong experience with process mapping and documentation tools such as Visio.

• Ability to quickly translate complex operational or clinical processes into structured

functional requirements.

• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.

Technical Assets

• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or healthcare software platforms is

considered an advantage.

• Experience with integration analysis and interface definition is a plus.
