Senior Network Security Engineer

Context :
Our network team is responsible for the setup, security and operations of the network that is used for an extensive range of services in our industrial and office contexts. To accomplish our tasks, we can rely on a wide range of tools and technologies.
We are active in locations in Belgium, France, UK, Germany and Switzerland.
The team is also involved in many projects (from setup of connectivity in new data centre, securing & connecting to the cloud, modernizing our WAN network, supporting the functional evolutions requested by application teams…).
In this context, we are looking for motivated people who can help use contribute to the realisation of our challenges.

Timing & place :
• Place of mission: Fluxys Belgium Headquarters – Avenue des Arts 31, 1040 Brussels
• The start date of this mission is as soon as possible
• This mission is foreseen for an initial duration of 1 year (renewable)
• The regime the first three months of the mission will be full time in the office. After this initial period hybrid work is possible, and this in the form of 3 days on-prem, 2 days to choose (under condition the work permits it).

Function Description :
• You will operate in a team supporting the company activities which run 24/7
• You will operate in an IT and OT environment, and are as such very diligent in preparing and executing changes
• You will participate in the deployment and maintenance of OT and IT systems
• You support our colleagues both in BE and other parts of Europe
• You are well versed in the different aspects of networking (routing, switching, software, ….) and like to work with all of these

General Skills :
• You master one of our national languages Dutch or French (this is a must) and are fluent in English.
• You are always ready to work with other ICT teams
• You are a team player but also know how to work independently
• You are always ready to support your teammates
• You have your own car
• You can travel if and when required to one of our Belgian locations
• You have a background in computer science
• You are open to pick up a standby role (max 1 week in 4)

Technical Skills :
• In depth firewall knowledge (Checkpoint is must)
• Understanding of routing and switching protocols; OSFP, ISIS, MST, …
• Experience with cloud technologies
• Experience with Cisco Wireless
• You have worked with python and/or ansible for automation
• You have knowledge of backend tools for monitoring, NAC, central syslog, …
• You know your way around TACACS and RADIUS servers

Our technical environment :
We operate the entire network stack from LAN to WAN and from the datacentre to the cloud. We operate both in the IT and OT world, you will operate in a mostly Cisco environment, but juniper knowledge is a plus. You will come in contact with :
